Although there are many people who are worried if they are psychologically normal, those who are not know it all too well. As a sufferer of this debilitating disease, I have always used an idea from childhood. Do you remember that rhyme “step on a crack, break your mother's back”? You probably heard that as a kid. Many kids say that, and try to stay off cracks, believing superstitions about the bad luck that it could bring to themselves or their family to do otherwise.

I suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder, not poor horsemanship, or horse deprivation syndrome, or something. If you can find good, quality obsessive compulsive disorder treatment, using a combination of psychological help and the latest medications, then you will be able to successfully manage this horrible disease, but otherwise your chances are pretty thin. Either way, obsessive compulsive disorder treatment is an uphill struggle.
