Attention Deficit Disorder was widely thought to be a condition that only
affected children and to a lesser degree, teenagers. Those that suffer with attention deficit as a child are more likely to have problems
as an adult...

lack the attention span. However, there are certainly adults among us that also harbor this burden. And yes I do call it a burden. This is
basically due to the fact that it can be seriously bothersome and annoying. Luckily there are ways to get help regarding adult attention deficit
disorder. Do you know where to get started? Maybe it's time you got jacked into the World-Wide-Web and found out.

What do you know about adult attention deficit disorder? Up until a few
years ago, I had no idea that the affliction even existed. However, that all changed when I was at college getting my English degree. As it
turned out, there was a student there who would enlighten me. So, it was the beginning of a new semester. I had signed up for all the necessary
classes and all was well and good. When I entered my "Keats and Shelley" classroom, it seemed so peaceful and relaxing. I was stoked and ready to
learn about these two famous writers. Suddenly, in walked a guy in his early twenties, short, with a big grin on his face. In no way did this
fellow look shy or timid. He plopped down in the seat next to me. I thought nothing of it as I turned to him and introduced myself. He did the
same. His name was Brian, and little did I know, he had adult attention deficit disorder. It was definitely going to be an
interesting class, whether I was aware of it or not. After listening to the professor lecture for about 20 minutes, Brian began tapping his pen
on the desk and bouncing his knee. At first I thought nothing of it, but it only grew louder. In fact, he was the loudest one in the classroom.
Not the professor. Other students began to stare, but Brian continued. I placed my hand over his tapping pen to stifle the irksome sound. He
grinned with a slight embarrassment, and then apologized. Then came the confirmation statement that he indeed had adult attention deficit
disorder. Yikes!
